Jesuit beat Westview 81-65 Tuesday night, practically assuring themselves of top spot in the hotly-contested Metro League, and the first-round playoff bye that comes with it.
Midway through the league portion of their schedule, Jesuit is 8-0 (16-1 overall), and has beaten the Wildcats twice. Unless they suffer a catastrophic collapse in the last seven games of the season, they will finish first.
I’ve shot Westview’s athletes several times before, but never on their home turf. Their gym has a walkway around three quarters of the upper level, so I started shooting from up there, hoping for some good action around the near basket. Unfortunately things didn’t quite line up quite the way I was hoping. The rest of the game I shot from various positions on the floor.
I put a gallery of images up here. Here are a few more.
