The sun was shining when I got up this morning, so I headed straight out to Roosevelt High School to capture a photograph I’ve been eying for a while now. The photo is the latest addition to my architectural photography portfolio.
The main building at Roosevelt High School was built in 1921 and it is considered an excellent example of the Colonial Revivalist style. Architect George H. Jones reused most of the drawings from Franklin High School (designed by Floyd A. Naramore in 1915), which explains why the two buildings look somewhat similar.
You can read more about the building’s significance on this Historic Site Information Form.
